Angels as benevolent spiritual intermediaries feature in many faiths and legends across the world. On this album we have woven a story of an angel who, upon hearing the voice in a prayer, visits the Earth in search of that voice, and spends a day there.
1. Angel At The Gates Of Dawn
The angel departs from heaven leaving by the Gates Of Dawn which open at the start of every new day.
2. Kyrie Eleison
Looking down on the Earth, the angel chants “Kyrie Eleison” - “Lord Have Mercy” - an ancient Greek phrase that dates to Pagan times and was incorporated into Christian worship.
3. Guardian Angel
The angel hears a distant voice of young girl in a prayer calling upon a guardian angel to watch over her.
4. Angel Descending
With a stretch of the wings, the angel descends to Earth to try to find the girl.
5. On Angel Wings
A long journey begins as the angel flies all over the Earth, across land and sea in search of the girl.
6. An Angel Comes To Ireland
The girl is located and the angel lands in the garden of her home in Ireland and tells the girl that she is never alone. The girl plays the angel an old Irish tune “Eleanor Plunkett” on her harp.
7. The Angel's Dream
Growing weary from the long flight, the angel listens to the music and is enchanted by it, sleeps awhile and dreams of heaven.
8. Angel Alone
The angel awakes. It is twilight, the girl has gone inside and the angel is alone.
9. Angel Ascending
It is time to return. With a flap of the wings, the angel rises and rides the thermal currents higher and higher up to heaven.
10. Angel At The Gates Of Night
The angel arrives back in heaven passing through the Gates Of Night which open at the end of each day.
