Chris Conway Ajahn Achalo
Chanting With Evocative Music
Air, Fire, Earth, Ether and Water - the building blocks of life and the balance between them. A wonderful array of exotic instruments weave together to form a dreamlike journey through the elements.

background
Buddhist monk Ajahn Achalo heard Chris Conway's Buddha Dreamer and contacted him asking if he'd like to collaborate on a project putting evocative music to his chanting.
Ajhan recorded his chants in his mostary and sent them to Chris by internet.

Over the next few months Chris set some music and then for each track ideas and suggestions passed back and forth and ammendments were made. Some tracks called for an Indian infl;uence so Chros called in his friend Neil Donoghue (collaborator on Ayurveda Gold) to play sitar on 4 tracks. Likewise Celtic harper Mo Coulson recorded on 2 tracks to add her special sound to them.

9 months since Ajhan sent his forst vocal, the recording and mastering was finished.

influences
